In-Person School-Year SAT Prep at Madison

Fairfax Collegiate has taught thousands of students over the last 30 years and delivers effective in-person test prep. We've adapted to numerous changes in testing—including the SAT—and we continue to offer what large national online programs often cannot: live instructors, real classrooms, and the accountability that helps most high school students improve.

Unlike the large national test-prep companies, Fairfax Collegiate provides local evening classes and excellent value. At Madison High School, students prepare on weekday evenings for the SAT, ACT, and PSAT—with coaching they will not get from a screen alone.

Complete SAT Prep

Class time is evenly divided between the Reading and Writing and the Math sections of the SAT. Typical evening sections meet from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM across eight class sessions, covering every major content domain—from Information and Ideas and Standard English Conventions to Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry and Trigonometry.

Students take practice tests to gauge progress, work problems in class with live coaching, and build an individual study plan that integrates classroom work, The Official SAT Study Guide, and key online resources. If you want to revisit topics later, you can retake Complete SAT Prep for free.

Free Retake Guarantee

Paying for an 8-week session of Complete SAT Prep does not limit you to that session. After attending, students may retake the course for free at any time and benefit from updates to College Board study materials used in class. Families may also withdraw after the first session if they are unsatisfied and receive a full refund.

SAT Prep: The Hard Problems

Already scoring strongly and aiming higher—often past 1400? Hard Problems focuses exclusively on College Board Hard-level questions across every SAT content domain. Students practice those toughest items in class, take practice tests to measure progress, and refine an individual study plan with live instructor feedback that online-only courses rarely match.

Complete ACT Prep

Students prepare for all sections of the ACT, including optional Science and Writing. English, Reading, and Writing prep emphasize grammar, style, vocabulary, and comprehension; Math covers Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 concepts; Science covers experimental design and interpreting data. Practice tests build familiarity with ACT formats, scoring, and time management.

PSAT/NMSQT Prep

Students prepare for all content domains on the PSAT/NMSQT—the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Program—building skills that also support later SAT success. Sessions cover Reading and Writing and Math topics across eight class meetings, with practice tests and in-class problem work guided by a live instructor.
